Objectives
- To promote charitable
purpose of providing for the special needs of ‘the Special Community’
in Negara Brunei Darussalam (hereinafter called ‘the area of benefit’)
without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political,
religious or other opinions by advancement of education and to provide
facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and
leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the condition of
life for the said Special Community. - To co-operate, advise,
advocate and make recommendation to the appropriate authorities on all
matters concerning with the work for the Special Community and those
who take care of the SpecialCommunity. - To establish sheltered workshops or undertake joint-venture for the employment of the Special Community.
- To provide educational, vocational, agricultural and such other training as may be deemed suitable for the Special Community.
- To
provide and maintain a place foe the rehabilitation of the Special
Community with workshop and hostel facilities including hostel and
other facilities for the education and training of the Special
Community. - To provide and maintain a vocational establishment
foe the teaching of vocational skills to the Special Community and for
assisting the Special Community to return to work in their normal
environment. - To promote and organize co-operation in the
achievement of the above objects and to that end to bring together
representatives of the voluntary organizations and statutory
authorities within the area of benefit. - To work and co-operate
and whenever desirable to affiliate with other organizations both
national and internationally devoted to the same similar objects of the
Pusat Ehsan. - To disseminate information, to increase the
awareness of the general public matters relating to the Special
Community and to facilitate positive attitude towards the Special
Community. - To organize and participate in congresses,
conference, seminars. Workshop and other meetings at local, national
and international level. - To accept contribution, donation,
grants, endowments, legacies and subscription from persons or bodies (
including government) desiring to assist in the promotion of the
objects aforesaid and to hold such funds as trustee for the achievement
of the said objects. - To invest the funds of Pusat Ehsan in such
manner as may from time to time be determined by the Pusat Ehsan
subject to such approvals as may be necessary or required by the
appropriate authorities. - To promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
- To provide services and facilities so as to enable each individual of the Special community to reach their full potential.
