The Staff and Management of TAIB (Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei) organized a fun day for Pusat Ehsan. Held at the illustrious Jerudong Polo Club beach front, the event was full of fun games, music and activities that was truly enjoyed by the students. The event showed the organisation and its members continued support to the special needs community.
With the ongoing exchange programmes between the Pusat Ehsan and Ash Field School, Leicester, the centre was recently privilege to learned the best practices in United Kingdom in the field of Special Education. Jane Lynch and Ruth Barker, both well experience special needs teachers conducted a week course and workshop in the centre that aims to equipped the local counterpart in providing quality and up-to-date services to the client. Basic computer skills using Clicker and assessment and evaluation of a child abilities and skills are among the workshop that was organized notwithstanding the individual Learning Support Assistants (Pusat Ehsan teachers) or LSA's consultation in their plans and strategies.
Playing fun games together create a perfect opportunity for both personal and social development and an opportunity to learn and grow together as a family and a caring community.
Virtuso Music School will be holding a charity gala night in aid with special needs in Pusat Ehsan. Co-ordinated by Pusat Ehsan, the dinner is scheduled for June 12 at Indera Samudra Grand Hall, Empire Hotel Country Club at 7:30pm. The event will showcased Virtuso Music School's pride of young musical talents with exceptional and promising skills. The Gala Night will benefit numerous individuals with disabilities of cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disability and similar challenges. The fund raised will be channeled into development of programmes, physical rehabilitation, parental education and community support activities. It will also help the special needs to acquired self respect and dignity besides public awareness and sense of responsibilty of the community. Ash Field School, Leicester opens opportunity to Pusat Ehsan teachers for continual education and training in special needs.
Currently three teachers from special education programmes is at Ash Field School for a two-weeks attachment. Their exposure and experience will benefit the Pusat Ehsan Centre in coping up with the advancement in the field of special needs care and education.

Pusat Ehsan has received donation from a charity fun-run proceed jointly organized by British High Commission and the Jerudong International School. The fun-run, Sport Relief is a sports-fundraising campaign organised by the British charity, Comic Relief, giving people around the world an opportunity to raise funds for charity organisations just like Pusat Ehsan. The donation worth of BND 2,064.90 was presented by British High Commissioner Rob Fenn and the Principal of JIS, John Price, to the Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pusat Ehsan, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Alimin Haji Abd Wahab.Dato Alimin expressed his thankfulness for the generosity and dedications of all the participating donors and supporter of this worldwide charity event.
The Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament 2010 with a theme "Reinforcing Charity Work for the Special People" is hoping to attract great support from individuals and various organizations from both public and private sectors in the country in helping people with special needs.
As a charity event with philanthropic mandate that aims not only raise funds for the Centre but also to develop personal commitment for people with special needs, the golf tournament is a great initiatives to bring the public to engage in worthwhile cause.
The golf tournament will be held at Royal Brunei Airlines Golf Club on May 28-30.

Pusat Ehsan staff from Bandar and Kuala Belait braches joined effort to clean its main compound in Bengkurong yesterday. It aims to provide clean, safe and healthy environment for people with special needs.
This said endeavour is Pusat Ehsan contribution to the community, corresponding to continuing effort of both public and private sectors in making our environment clean. It also hopes to inspire our society and local organization towards a meanigful and worthwhile effort.
